comment: I too do the rendevzous thing. I use to live in Nebraska, got tired of flat land and moved back to the mountains. I do all kinds of traditional beadwork on brain tanned buckskin (my husband does the tanning) and my husband also makes longbows. Some of you know us as 2Charlies. Drop us an e-mail, as we miss our rendezvous friends from the flat land. If you were at Rocky Mountain Rendevzous this year, I was the one with the Canadian Lynx.

comment: I work with youth age 14-21 years old in a part of Boy Scouting called exploring..co-ed youth..yes boys and girls choose an area of interest and then plan how they would like to pursue that interest..our youth have always been interersted in Native American culture and have shared this at pow wows and by teaching to younger scouts..this group has recently expanded to an historic group and have been attending rendezvous etc..your information on persona and history is some of the best i have seen..thank you immensely..I have been in volved with the Smokey Hollow Muzzleloaders for probqably 10 years..so to have my scouts share my interest is the best of both worlds..I was not able to make it to fort de Chartes in 1999 but if any one knows the dates for 2000 I would be most grateful as my Exploerer Post 42 would like to come down as a major field trip..I personally can not wait..anyone else out there with a "historic" based post I would be interested in the activities that you do..and in sharing ideas with you..thanx again for being here..to be lost in living history..sue..ps..I weave, have made my own dulcimer and can play alittle..I have just learned bobbin lace and absolutely love it..and can not wait to go to the feast of the Hunters moon again...I have a baker's tent..and really have not found myself yet..but usually am found cooking for many hungry buckskinners...once again..avoir...

comment: best site I've visited yet. Our club is in a heated debate over the historical accuracy of some of our camp gear, and how hard-core we want to be at our doins. The articles here have helped a lot to get us focused.
Any suggestions from other clubs on how they handle this issue at rendezvous? How do you handle visitors to your events?
