Going to try and recreate the Savannah Georgia/ South Carolina woodsrunner with
a Saltzberg influence. My family came from Saltzberg, Austria to Savannah around
1740 to provide cheap labor for the English. "Saltzbergers" as they are known
worked so hard and were so organized, they established independent towns
surrounding Savannah. Can anyone help me get going in the right direction? I am
not a compulsive type, but want to seek accuracy in dress and equipage. Please
e-mail me at Ernie3006@aol.com and point me toward suppliers for the period
1790-1800, Southeast, longhunter/German-Austrian. Thanks in advance for any
help...God bless.
